TAG Events
TAG is a local older girl group that is based in the winchester area. They are older girls who plan events for older girls. This doesn't have to be our only teen group. How to start your own Teen Group is listed here to help with girls in your area.
History of TAG
TAG started in 14-5 Service Unit, from a Silver Awards Project. Its creator is Danielle Mango, who is right now its manager, the secretary is Julianna Wiseman and two Service Unit Representatives who are Nancy Mango and Cindy Sirbuagh. Its members are older girls who can make it to the meetings (though they don't have to always be there, they go when they can), and who would go back to their troops to ask them questions and/or inform them of what's been happening.

The Silver Award Project a survey in Danielle's school to see who was in scouts and if they weren't, why not. The responces were that they didn't want to do just badges or didn't even know what older girls did in scouting. Danielle sent another survey to those in scouting, asking them if they feel like they are getting a say in scouting and if they aren't, would they be willing to step up and represent their troop in a group made by older girls for older girls. Slowly over the past two years, they have gain members and recognision in the council.

When asked how to start a similar group in other areas, Danielle said that they would have to have a girl step up and organize the first meeting and go from there or get in touch with their council's representative for ideas. She also stated that it is a lot of work, and the girl(s) who step up to do must be prepaired for it.
